Can’t figure out how to use the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is one of the hottest games of 2022, with over 13 million copies sold across all platforms.
One of the key reasons for Elden Ring’s popularity is its feature-rich open world and unique playstyle. In Elden Ring, you’ll come across various bosses that will test your skills and patience.
You’ll also be able to explore various areas with different items to collect, puzzles to solve, and secret rooms to discover.
One region that you’ll come across in Elden Ring is Liurnia. As you explore this location, you’ll eventually stumble upon a structure known as the Grand Lift of Dectus. This extraordinary lift can help you access the Altus Plateau, but it cannot be used right away.
Before you can ride this grand lift, you’ll have to activate it first in Elden Ring.
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about it and how you can use the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring.
How to Use Grand Lift of Dectus
To use the Grand Lift of Dectus, you must collect the two halves of the Dectus Medallion. These two halves are called the Dectus Medallion (Left) and Dectus Medallion (Right). They can be collected inside chests that are on top of two forts.
Dectus Medallion (L)
The left portion of the Dectus Medallion is at Fort Haight. This area is situated in east Limgrave, just southeast of the Mistwood. To get to this area, players should ride Torrent and take the road that leads east and out of the starting area in Elden Ring.
Once you’ve arrived at Fort Haight, enter from the side, and take the stairs that are against the west interior wall to get to the tower.
Climb the ladder inside and open the chest to get the Dectus Medallion (Left).
Dectus Medallion (R)
The second half of the Dectus Medallion is much more complicated to obtain since it is inside Fort Faroth in the Caelid region. Due to the difficulty of this region, it is recommended that players do not attempt to ride from Limgrave to Fort Faroth if they are under-leveled.
Instead, we recommend the Tarnished to use one of the routes mentioned below to minimize the amount of traveling they need to do in Caelid:
- Visit Dragon-Burnt Ruins to the east of The First Step Site of Grace in Limgrave. Interact with the chest below the Ruins to teleport to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel and escape it by descending from the starting hut. Ride east to reach Fort Faroth.
- Obtain a Deathroot in Elden Ring and talk with D, Hunter of the Dead, at the Roundtable Hold. Travel to the red mark that he puts on the east of Limgrave. Teleport to Bestial Sanctum and exit this location. Ride south to Fort Faroth.
Once you are in Fort Faroth, enter from the west and run north until you reach a ladder. The Dectus Medallion (Right) should be inside the chest at the top of the ladder.
Return to the Grand Lift of Dectus after getting both halves of the Dectus Medallion to activate the lift.
