How to Unlock Narukami Island in Genshin Impact

Trying to figure out how to unlock Narukami Island in Genshin Impact?

The new Inazuma region in Genshin Impact is now open for exploration. However, many players are confused as to how they can get there. Before you can explore the new region in Genshin Impact, you must meet some entry requirements first and accomplish several questlines.

Inazuma will be a permanent addition to the world of Teyvat so unlocking it as early as now will get you ready for the upcoming content miHoYo has planned to release.

Aside from the new region, version 2.0 of Genshin Impact also included new characters, items, and farmable resources for the Serenitea Pot.

However, in this guide, we will focus on how to unlock Narukami Island in Genshin Impact.

Let’s get started!

Entry to Inazuma Region Requirements

Inazuma Region

Unfortunately, players can’t access the Inazuma region by simply downloading version 2.0 of Genshin Impact. Depending on your progress, you might need to complete a quest, reach a certain level, or accomplish some tasks before you can visit the new region.

Here’s a list of all Inazuma entry requirements:

  • Reach Adventure Rank 30 – If you just played Genshin Impact, there’s a good chance that your AR is lower than 30. In this case, you want level up quickly if you want to gain access to Inazuma right away. You can visit our dedicated guide for leveling fast in Genshin Impact.
  • Complete Archon Quest Chapter II Prologue: Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves. This specific quest is part of the main story. It was included in version 1.6 and will unlock automatically upon completing all previous Archon Quests and leveling up to Adventure Rank 30.
  • Start Archon Quest Chapter II: Act 1. Following this quest line will eventually lead you to Inazuma.

Getting to Inazuma

Upon starting the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act 1, you’ll be prompted to talk to Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild in Liyue Harbor. Now, you have to board Beidou’s ship to start your trip to Inazuma.

Do take note that Beidou’s ship is located east of Guyun Stone Forest and not in Liyue Harbor. Climb over the nearby rocks and glide your way to the ship.

Approach Beidou after boarding the ship and your game should enter a cutscene. Once done, you’ll reach Ritou, a small harbor island. Ritou is part of the larger Narukami Island.

At last, you’re now in Inazuma! You will be welcomed by Thoma, who is a ‘fixer’ and will show you around Ritou.

Unlocking Narukami Island

Although you are in Inazuma, you’re not free to explore the region yet. If you attempt to leave Ritou, the guards will stop you in your way. To roam around freely in Inazuma, you’ll have to continue with the Archon questline.

Get yourself familiarized with the NPCs as instructed during the ‘Setting Sail’ and ‘Confessions of an Outlander’ quests.

Once you reach the ‘Ritou Escape Plan’, you will meet a mysterious woman named Hiiragi Chisato. She will then ask you to meet her after 18:00 (game time). You won’t see an indicator on your map for the meeting place but it will be next to her house.
