Every Disney fan probably knows the fun and cute dog named Goofy. The good news is that you can now make friends with the character by playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. This is an adventure/simulator game that features a bunch of characters within the land that is plagued by a problem called The Forgetting. 

There are many quests available that unlock specific characters in the game. This should take players on a nostalgic journey where they will find the character around the same thing that they are known for. 

However, most of the characters require you to finish their quests to bring them back to Dreamlight Valley. 

In this guide, we will show you how you can unlock Goofy in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Getting Goofy in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Fortunately, Goofy is one of the few characters in the game that stayed in the valley even after people left. He loves Mickey Mouse so much, so it is only fair that both of them stay behind to look after the place. 

Sadly, he has also been affected by The Forgetting, and he can’t remember much about the Valley. 

The quest to unlock Goofy is called Fishing Expedition, and it is a pretty simple one. 

Through this quest, players can also unlock the Fishing Rod, which is one of the four Royal Tools in the game. 

• Go over to the Peaceful Meadows. You can find this area by opening your ma. It should be in the southern direction from your house, and you will have to clear a few thorns to access the area. 
• Once you are in the area, you will also find the Fishing Rod next to the pond. Pick it up and head over to Goofy’s house. It should be in the middle of the area, and it is blocked with more thorns that you need to clear to gain access. 
• Inside the house, you will find Goofy with a sad face. Speak to him and give him the rod you have found in the pond. In return, he will give you the Royal Fishing Rod. 
• After going through his dialogue and gaining the Royal Rod, head outside and start fishing in any pond. Goofy will likely follow you through this feat, but if he doesn’t, you can find him after you’ve successfully finished. 
• Next, he will take you to his stall, which you will need to fix. After the conversation, a sign with Scrooge McDuck on it will spawn. He is the builder in Dreamlight Valley, and he will fix up Goofy’s stall for free. However, he will charge you for other constructions. 
• Finally, speak with Goofy one last time, and the character should be unlocked for you. Now, you can speak with the character daily to increase your Friendship Level. Once your Friendship is level two, you can assign a task to them, which will increase your friendship further. 

Players’ job doesn’t end after unlocking a character in the game since increasing friendship levels can get them closer to Disney characters and unlock more quest lines. Besides speaking to them, you can also gift NPCs stuff they like or hang out with them.
