Want to know how you can unlock deep mining in Dinkum?
Dinkum is the latest farming simulator x survival game that is inspired by Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. It is developed by James Bendon and is currently on early access on Windows via Steam.Â
As you progress through the gameplay, you will eventually uncover more areas. Similar to other farming simulator games, Dinkum has a dedicated area where you can mine for valuable ores and other materials.
Similar to real life, not anyone can get into the mining business in Dinkum. Before you can dig any minefield, you’ll have to secure a Mining License first.
Due to this, getting started on mining requires a bit of work. However, if you plan on exploring deep mines, you’ll have to upgrade your license, which requires even more work. Nonetheless, the rewards for this activity are more than enough to justify the work needed.
In this guide, we will show you how to unlock deep mining in Dinkum.Â
Let’s get right into it!
Deep Mine Overview
The Deep Mine is home to wild animals which makes going down there a dangerous endeavor. However, the rewards for mining this area outweigh the risks when you take into account the materials you can get down there.

Until you manage to create a Quarry, Deep Mining is your primary way of obtaining iron ores that many recipes in the game need.
Compared to some of the other buildings in Dinkum, unlocking Deep Mine in Dinkum is a slightly more complicated process.
Securing a License
The first thing you need to do to get started with Deep Mining is secure the required license. You can head over to Fletch to secure a Deep Mining License, which costs 3500 Permit Points. This allows you to purchase the Mine pass and the Mine Deed.

If your current Permit Points are not enough, you can complete Milestones first to earn more.
Get a Mine Pass
Once you have secured the Deep Mining License, you will need to head over to John’s shop and buy a Mine Pass. This will set you back 25000 Dinks and will give you access to the mine elevator once.
Since getting down there is a very expensive trip, you have to ensure that you make the most out of it.
Get the Mine Deed
After buying a Mine Pass, head back to Fletch to secure the deeds. From the list, you can get the Mine Deed. Highlight it from the menu and hit Apply. This will put your town into a 250,000 Debt.
Now, find a place to set up your mine and place the deed to start building your deep mining zone.
Building the Mine Elevator
Besides the cost of the Mine Pass, you’ll also have to create your own elevator to gain access to the mine.
Here’s what you need:
- 10 bags of Cement
- 10 Old Gears
- 1 Old Contraption
- 2 Old Keys
- 5 Tin Bars
- 5 Copper Bars
Once you have gathered the required materials, go to where you placed your Mine Deed and start building the mine elevator by placing the materials needed inside the construction site.

After completing the construction, you can now use the elevator to access the Deep Mines. Keep in mind that the pass is a one-time use object, so you’ll need to be prepared before heading down.
