Troll’s Hammer Overview

The Troll’s Hammer is an extremely powerful weapon that the Stonedigger Trolls use to crack open the bedrock. If that is not tough for you, nothing will be. 

This colossal weapon hits as hard as you’d expect and also deals fire damage to enemies struck by it. However, the fire damage that comes with Troll’s Hammer requires you to level up your faith stat. 

Troll’s Hammer comes equipped with the Troll’s Roar weapon art that releases a powerful shockwave that knocks back enemies. 

Finding Troll’s Hammer

To obtain Troll’s Hammer in Elden Ring, you’ll have to first make your way to the Altus Plateau region. You’ll need to get the two halves of the Dectus Medallion to reach this area in the game. 

The first medallion can be found in Fort Haight, and the other half is at Fort Faroth. 

Once you have both medallions, take the Grand Lift of Dectus up from Liurnia. You can also explore the dungeons that connect Liurnia to Altus Plateau. 

However, we don’t recommend taking these tunnels if you are under-leveled. 

Upon reaching Altus Plateau, head to the Old Altus Tunnel. This dungeon can be found by heading north from your path to get to Altus. 

Now, go down into the ravine that leads to the Shaded castle. You’ll see the entrance to the dungeon on the left. You will need two Swordstone Keys to open this path. Inside the dungeon, follow the path to the large room with two knight enemies at the bottom near a shack. 

Inside that shack, you’ll find the Troll’s Hammer waiting for you.
