Building the Museum

At the start, Theodor will just be an ordinary visitor on the island. You must complete various requests and spend time chatting with Theodore to get on his good side and build a relationship. Once you’ve established enough rapport, he’ll consider moving to the island. 

Doing this every time he visits your place will gain hearts, and your relationship will grow. This also applies to other NPCs in the game, including John, the shop owner. 

Once the relationship meter reaches at least half a heart, Theodore will ask you to discuss the Museum Deed with Fletch, the office manager. Keep in mind that only one deed can be bought at a time, and this puts your town in debt. 

You can place the museum anywhere there is level ground, and you’ll need to gather the following items to build it: 

• 15 Gum Wood Planks
• 5 Palm Wood Planks
• 10 Bags of Cement
• 16 Nails

After securing the items listed above and placing them in the construction zone, the Museum will take two days to build. 

Getting the Camera

When it comes to the camera, you can purchase them from Theodore once he becomes a permanent resident of the island. However, you must build your relationship with him before it becomes available. 

You can do this by bringing insects, sea creatures, and animals to Theodore and donating them to the Museum. 

Completing requests from him should also help boost your relationship. 

Each donation to the Museum rewards you with 100 Permit Points. Once you’ve gotten at least two hearts in the relationship meter, the camera option should appear in the Museum and cost 16000 Dinks. 

Taking Photos in Dinkum

Using the camera to capture images in Dinkum can be done by following these simple steps: 

1. First, select the camera from the item list and right-click. This should shift your screen to a first-person view and make it easier to see what is being photographed. 
2. Now, right-click to capture the photo. 
3. Review your shots by going to the photos section of your handbook. 

In Dinkum, you can take action shots of animals, insects, gardens, farms, or anything that you want to take a photo of. 

These images can be displayed in the Museum. In addition, if a bulletin board has been built, the island’s residents will sometimes make a request to take photos of various items in exchange for Dinks or Permit Points.
