Do you struggle against any of the Season 1 best characters in MultiVersus?
Just like most platform-fighting games, not all characters in MultiVersus are built the same. To promote a dynamic competitive scene, each character should have both favorable and disadvantageous matchups. As a result, some characters win a lot more matchups than they lose.Â
For anyone who wants to get ahead of the competition, you may need to practice and master some of these Fighters. From classic superheroes like Superman and Batman to more underrated Fighters like Taz, learning how to dominate any stage with a great character will get you places in the game.

Best Characters in MultiVersus

As a fairly new game, MultiVersus is still running with its base set of characters along with a couple of new characters added in its first season. Although balance reworks have been released constantly, there are still quite a few characters that are just better than the rest of the competition.
In this article, we will cover the most powerful characters in MultiVersus’s first season and how to play and master them.
Harley Quinn

Also known as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, this Assassin is a popular villain from the DC Universe. She was introduced as the love interest of The Joker and helps him try to take out Batman. Her backstory is that she was a psychiatrist working at Arkham Asylum. After she meets The Joker, he manipulates her into becoming his lover and sidekick to terrorize Gotham.
As an Assassin, Harley Quinn specializes in getting to critical areas of the stage and dealing a lot of damage or combinations to eliminate opponents. Her ground attacks include Whack!, Clown Combo, Heads Up!, and Slider. She can also do Aerial Pummeler, Flying Kicks, Confetti Grenade!, and Boxing Ringer from the air. Her basic attacks are mostly charge combo attacks, with one projectile skill.
For her special attacks, Harley Quinn has the same repertoire on the ground and in the air. She has Stuffie Bat, Prank Shot, Batter Up!, and Jerk-In-The-Box. Stuffie Bat works in combination with her passive Confetti. It knocks back enemies and applies Confetti when she deals damage to them. Jerk-In-The-Box is one of her best moves as it lets her place a projectile that can be detonated by her allies.
Harley Quinn has three Signature Perks that make her one of the best characters in MultiVersus for Season 1. Glove Control lets her choose the direction at which her projectile is fired. Smooth Moves turn her ground and air side special attacks into dodges, making her untargetable for a moment when using them. Finally, Confetti Explosion causes a massive explosion when Confetti hits maximum stacks.
Superman

As one of the most powerful beings in the entire DC Universe, it is no surprise that Superman is also quite dominant in MultiVersus. Also known as Kal-El or his Earth name Clark Kent, this Kryptonian takes all of his powers from our Yellow Sun. He is famous for having an almost incorruptible sense of honor and justice, making him one of the most reliable and fan-favorite comic book characters of all time.
In MultiVersus, Superman is a Tank character that specializes in drawing the attention of his opponents and absorbing most of the damage. His ground attacks include Super Punch, Kryptonian Combo, Overhead Strike, and Downward Swing. In the air, Superman can do Bullet Barrage, Flying Swing, Up and Away!, and Falling Haymaker. Being a Tank, almost all his attacks are charges except for one combo.
For special attacks, Superman can do his Ice Breath, Locomotive Charge, Meteor Liftoff, and Heat Vision. In the air, he can do Go Long!, Ten-Ton Tackle, and aerial versions of Ice Breath and Heat Vision. Superman also has some very effective Signature Perks, making him one of the best defensive Fighters in the game.
His first Signature Perk is Flaming Re-Entry. This lets him deal a fire debuff with a firewall whenever he lands from his leap attack. Next, Sniper Punch extends his aim punch’s range. He deals more damage and knockback from a distance than up close. Finally, Break The Ice lets him deal more damage to any opponents that are affected by his Ice debuff. With more Ice stacks, the higher the damage dealt as well.
Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is a very popular cartoon character from Looney Tunes. He is also arguably one of the most recognizable characters in MultiVersus. Bugs Bunny is a Ranged Mage Fighter that specializes in throwing projectiles from a distance. However, he can also close the distance and deal some decent charges and combos to break his opponents’ armor.
For ground attacks, Bugs Bunny can do Whack-y, Ain’t It?, Why I Oughta!, Rabbit Kick, and Pie Barrage!. When he is in the air, he can use his Helicopter Punch, Swing Batta Batta!, Look Out Below!, and Flying Rabbit’s Foot. His pie projectile is great for support play as it heals any teammate that it passes through and subsequently slows any opponent it hits.
His special ground attacks include A Safe Investment, Ain’t I A Charmer?, Special Delive-Rocket, and Bunny Burrow. While in the air, Bugs does Safe Painter, Rocket Rider, Bun On The Run, and an aerial version of the Special Delive-Rocket.
Bugs Bunny has two very useful Signature Perks. Comin’ Through Doc lets his team deal shockwave damage to all enemies in the area after leaving a tunnel. Lingering Love adds a floating heart to every kiss that Bugs makes. The heart charms any opponent that it comes in contact with.
