Locating the Rivers of Blood Katana

The Rivers of Blood katana in Elden Ring can be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants area of The Lands Between. To reach this location, you will have to travel to Leyndell Capital and ride the Grand Lift of Rold. 

However, the Grand Lift of Rold only becomes available after you have slain Morgott, the Omen King, at the foot of the Erdtree. 

Once you have reached the Mountaintops of the Giants, you will need to locate the Church of Repose at the pin location shown below. 

This location can easily be accessed from the Giant’s Gravepost Site of Grace. Head forward while avoiding the giant enemies along your way and stick to the right-hand side of the cliff. Continue traveling until you see the ruins of a church in the distance. 

While approaching the church, you will be notified that a player is about to invade your game. 

This NPC, named Bloody Finger Okina, is who you must defeat to obtain the Rivers of Blood katana in Elden Ring. 

Defeating Bloody Finger Okina

Bloody Finger Okina can be tricky due to the high amount of bleed damage he can deal. However, if you roll into his attacks, you can utilize Elden Ring’s invincibility frames. Okina also has a number of openings that gives you enough opportunity to deal damage. 

Since he is an invading player, Okina has one use of Flask of Crimson Tears, so keep this in mind during the fight. 

Once you’ve defeated the other Tarnished, you’ll be awarded the Katana and Okina’s Helm.

To wield the Rivers of Blood katana in Elden Ring, you will need to have 12 Strength, 18 Dexterity, and 20 Arcane. The weapon scales well with each of these stats, which means the more points you put into each one, the more damage your katana will gain.
