Want to know how to play Lillia in League of Legends?
League of Legends is a popular multiplayer arena game developed by Riot Games. It’s very competitive and has a big spot in the eSports scene. Unlike other games, it constantly changes every game.Â
Each patch, new champions are added, old champions are reworked, items are adjusted, and slight improvements are made to the map.
Besides that, Riot Games also announces new skins from time to time to add more excitement to gamers.
Lillia was added in League of Legends in patch 10.15 and featured a very interesting playstyle. This AP jungler can act as a bruiser that resembles Hecarim, dashing around the map with excellent gank potential.Â
However, Lillia is too squishy compared to Hecarim but packs some punch throughout the entire game.Â
Today, we’ll show you how to play Lillia in League of Legends.
Let’s get started!
Abilities
Riot designed Lillia’s ability kit for damage. Her skills synergize with each other, offering extra damage if you manage to sequence them in one go. With this skill set, Lillia can deal consistent damage with her first skill, followed by burst damage coming from her second and ultimate.
Dream-Laden Bough (Passive)

Lillia’s abilities apply Dream Dust on targets. Enemies affected by Dream Dust take 5% of their maximum health as damage over three seconds.
Blooming Blows (Q)

Lillia swings her weapon and deals magic damage to nearby opponents and true damage on the outer edges. If the ability hits, she gains movement speed that can stack up to five times.
Watch Out! Eep! (W)

Lillia strikes the ground with her branch, dealing damage to enemies in a small radius. Enemies at the center of her W take more damage.
Swirlseed (E)

Lillia summons a seed that travels in a straight line. Opponents hit by Swirlseed take magic damage and are slowed down. The ability continues to roll until it hits a champion or collides with a wall or other terrain on the map.
Lilting Lullaby (R)

Lillia’s ultimate adds an extra effect to her passive ability. Opponents affected by Dream Dust are slowed until they fall asleep for a short duration. When they awaken from damage, they receive additional magic damage.Â
Lane Position
Players can choose to play Lillia as a top laner or jungler. Solo players find that Lillia top is quite difficult but can contest against melee champions and burn down tanks through her passive Dream Dust.Â
In the jungle, Lillia is a kite-clearing jungler with the ability to quickly exit camps and gank lanes.Â
Both roles are viable for this champion, but Riot engineered Lillia’s abilities to be played in the jungle.
Either way, Lillia plays both positions in a similar way. The top and jungle lanes place Lillia as an AP bruiser that weaves in and out of the enemy team during clashes. Her main objective is to hurl true damage and get as many targets asleep during the engagement.Â
Top Lane.
Lillia’s role in the top lane is to harass the opposing top laner while avoiding trades. She excels against tanks that lack lockdown abilities and champions that are weak against poke and push. Lillia will also be a good matchup for champions that rely on burst and skill shots to land.
Some champions that are vulnerable to Lillia are Tryndamere, Ornn, and Mordekaiser.
However, you should avoid picking her if you are going against the likes of Akali, Renekton, Darius, and Irelia. These champions are capable duelists and can do well on any champion they play against.
Another thing to note is that Lillia excels during team fights as a secondary engage. Due to this, she will eventually lose to split push champions since she can’t put out as much single target damage.Â
Jungler
Playing Lillia in the jungle is probably the best option, especially for beginners. Since she’s designed for farming, she excels at clearing camps quickly and roaming. For seasoned players, it’s possible to clear the jungle with Lillia in three and a half minutes.Â
Due to this, we can safely say that Lillia is more than capable of clearing camps in the early stage, even without a leash.Â
However, as we’ve mentioned, Lillia is quite squishy and soft in the early game. Junglers that can invade camps and put out serious early damage directly counters Lillia. When playing against strong junglers, it’s ideal to set up wards throughout the map to avoid ganks.Â
Otherwise, you’ll fall behind the enemy jungler, and they can abuse you throughout the entire game.Â
