Even Batman had only just begun to uncover the court’s machinations shortly before his death. 

Gotham Knights will require players to solve some mind-bending puzzles once they start investigating the Court of Owls. Among the hardest puzzles, you’ll solve for this mission is the Owl Shadow Puzzle. 

For this puzzle, fans will need to adjust a mechanism so that a large shadow of an owl is cast on the far wall in the correct position and orientation. However, there isn’t any clue as to which direction the shadow should face.

Owl Shadow Puzzle

The Owl Shadow Puzzle in Gotham Knights is found below Gotham’s renowned Powers Club. This is a Gentleman’s Club with a long history and some deep secrets. As a meeting place for many members of Gotham’s Elite, it should be no surprise that the Powers Club is where the Court of Owls roosts. 

Underneath the opulent building lies the hideout of the Court, concealed behind multiple layers of security and secret passageways. 

After you have uncovered the hidden pathway that leads down to the Court’s hideout, you will be greeted with a large mural and no clear path further in. This is where the spotlight and the strange mechanism come in. 

Solving the Puzzle

After taking a closer look at the mural, you will be able to scan the spotlight to gain the ability to activate it and cast a shadow on the owl. 

This shadow needs to be adjusted and aimed at by interacting with the four sections of the mechanism at the center of the room to open the path forward. 

For the door to open, the owl’s shadow must be facing to the right, as shown in the image below. A good way to check if the mechanism is set up correctly is to look at the gears below each part of the mechanism using AR View. 

Start with the part nearest to the spotlight. Rotate it until a glowing line appears, passing through the middle of the gear below it. 

This should indicate that this part is angled correctly. Repeat this process for the other three parts of the mechanism to align the shadow on the wall correctly and open up the way into the Powers Club.
