Upon arriving at the Kujou Encampment in Inazuma, one of the first tasks that you would do is the Tatara Tales. During this world quest in Genshin Impact, you’ll be required to uncover the recent problems concerning the Mikage Furnace in the region.
Although most world quests in the game can be skipped for later, the Tatara Tales is something you’ll need to complete as it grants you access to the Tatarasuna area. You should also remember that this quest is divided into two main parts.
The first one will ask you to observe the Mikage Furnace, which we’ll discuss later, and the second one will task you to destroy the furnace’s barrier.

How to Observe the Makage Furnace in Genshin Impact?
To initiate the quest, you’ll need to teleport to Kujou Encampment. After that, talk to Toranosuke and Miyuki after listening to their conversation. Now, Miyuki will send you to speak with Xavier, who guards and oversees the Mikage Furnace.
You can find Xavier next to the Tatarasuna waypoint.
After talking to Xavier, you’ll be tasked to observe three points on the Tatarasuna barrier to uncover the mystery surrounding the Mikage Furnace.
In the observation location to the north, you’ll find a group of Fatui Skirmishers, which you have to defeat. Once done, interact with the glowing yellow marker on the ground beside the barrier to advance the questline.
Now, at the southern observation point, you’ll notice that you’re incapable of investigating the barrier due to an electro bubble blocking your way. To penetrate the bubble, head towards near the entrance where you’ll find an Electrogranum and summon it.
Go back to the electro bubble, and you should be able to walk through it to interact with the observation point.
The final observation point will be on the northeast portion of the area. Once you reach its location, you won’t see any yellow markers to observe on the ground. Well, it is actually hidden, and you’ll have to interact with the Electro-Seelie next to the barrier to make it appear.
Once done, use the Electrogranum nearby to glide into the air and continue following the Seelie. After touching the Seelie the second time, you should see the observation point appear in front of the barrier.
After observing all three points of the barrier, head back to Xavier to complete the world quest.
