You might have already explored most of Leyndell, Royal Capital, but you might not be aware that there is a whole maze underneath the region. The Subterranean Shunning-Grounds is an area in Elden Ring that is hidden within a well near the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. 

Inside the dungeon, you’ll find a fellow Tarnished soul called Dung-Eater. However, you’ll need to have the Sewer-Gaol Key to break him free. 

As mentioned, the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds is a sewer maze that is filled with Rats, Ogres, and the dreaded Revenant. 

Bestial Sanctum

Elden Ring players can easily miss this secret location since they need to find a mysterious portal near the Third Church of Marike Site of Grace. This should teleport them to Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow. 

You can locate this portal by heading towards the back of the Third Church of Marika and making a left, where you’ll see a blue light and a tiny portal. 

Since you are looking for a tiny portal that emits light, it would be easier for you to locate this dungeon during the nighttime. Once you’ve used the portal, you’ll arrive at Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow, where you’ll see a colossal black door that can be opened. 

At the other end of the door, you’ll arrive at Bestial Sanctum, where you can obtain one of the most powerful Incantations in Elden Ring, Beast Claw. 

Inverted Carian Study Hall

FromSoftware has always been known to create the wildest map designs, and Elden Ring brings plenty to the table. However, one area that will surprise even the most seasoned players is the Inverted Carian Study Hall. 

This is essentially the Carian Study Hall but upside down. 

Before players can access this hidden area, they will need to complete Ranni’s questline since she will give them the Carian Inverted Statue, which can be put down on a desk that is near a globe at the entrance of Carian Study Hall. 

Once placed, the entire area will flip, which unlocks a new hidden location. 

Siofra River Well

Siofra River Well is arguably one of the most stunning hidden locations in Elden Ring due to the sky within the area that is filled with stars and blue-tinted background. 

The area around this location is guarded by several Lesser Runebears, which are one of the most annoying and powerful enemies in Elden Ring. Players who are up for the task can find the Siofra River Well behind the Minor Erdtree. 

Besides, players can obtain the powerful Ancestral Follower Ashes by slaying the optional boss Ancestor Spirit. 

Hidden Path to Haligtree

As the name suggests, this area is well hidden to most players, since they will need to have the two portions of the Haligtree Secret Medallion to unlock the path. Once you’ve acquired the required items, they can visit the Grand Lift of Rold Site of Grace and activate the medallion. 

Players should come prepared since the area is crawling with Giant Land Octopuses and Vulgar Militants. 

Fighting these ill-omened creatures is worth all the risk since players can find the Silver Scarab, which increases Discovery by 75. 

Frenzied Flame Village

Most of the time, players have come across the Frenzied Flame Village Outskirts Site of Grace near the Black Knife Catacombs. However, players may have missed the Frenzied Flame Village since it is a bit further away from the Site of Grace. 

This village is infested with Frenzied Villages that will cause Madness by only looking at the player, which means you’ll need to utilize covers to avoid their glaze. 

Jarburg

It is very rare to find an area of Elden Ring as peaceful as Jarburg since the Living Jars that inhabit the town are mostly peaceful and will not attack players even if they get close to them. This hidden location in Elden Ring is not easy to find since the Carian Study Hall shadows it. 

Jarburg is one of the best areas to farm Cracked Pots, Ritual Pots, and plants since the town are abundant with them. 

Moreover, the smaller Living Jars in the area can be seen dancing around the town.
