Wondering how you can make and use a Keg in Dinkum?
As Dinkum brings players closer to typical Australian wildlife and lingo, it is only appropriate to brew some concoctions to help beat the scorching heat on the island. One of the best ways to do this is by building a Keg.
However, players will need to first upgrade their levels and unlock some prerequisites before they can do this.
Players who want to have a Keg on the island will need to purchase a second-tier Foraging skill certificate. They can do this by leveling the foraging skill by logging up to level ten and then purchasing the certificate from Fletch.
It is possible for players to do this without leveling their mining skills to ten, but it is harder and more up to chance.
In this guide, we will show you how to make and use a Keg in Dinkum.
Let’s dive right in!
Foraging and Woodwork
Upon leveling your Foraging to Level 10 and purchasing the second tier of the skill certificate, you will be introduced to new recipes. One is the keg, which requires five palm leaf planks and one iron ingot.
However, the palm leaf planks aren’t the concern but iron. At this point in the game, we can assume that you have yet to unlock Deep Mining.
Head outside with a copper axe and look for large clusters of bright gray rocks. These clusters should offer some iron ingots, but they will take a bit of work to break. After you’ve found five, go to the store and buy a Furnace for 30,000 Dinks.
If you don’t have the copper pickaxe yet, you can break standard rocks and find Shiny Rocks, which can be crushed and has a low chance of dropping iron ingots.
After getting the needed materials, head to your workbench and place your new drink maker somewhere prominent.
You will need ten of one specific ingredient to craft a single brew, and the ingredient placed in the Keg determines what it will produce. Players can place in 10 Yellow Wattle, a Bottle Brush, or Jelly.
These should produce certain effects, depending on the brew.

You should know the Keg is brewing when bubbles appear floating over the spigot. The finished product will be spat from the Keg once it has completed brewing.
