Grounded recently received an update called “Shroom and Gloom,” which brought new mechanics, resources, and tools. As part of this update, fans can now make themselves a Grinder.
The Grinder might just be one of the most important utility stations survivors can have in the game.
With it, you can perform various activities like taming pets and building a fortress out of Mushroom Bricks. The Grinder can be used to crush up mushrooms and plants into slurries that can be used for a handful of other projects that are included in the update.
However, you must save up some Raw Science first and hunt down a BURG.L chip to get the Grinder.
Today, we will show you how to make a Grinder in Grounded.

Recovering the Haze Chip
As we have mentioned, the Grinder is a crafting station that allows you to grind plants and turn them into a slurry. The first thing you should do to make a Grinder is to recover the Haze BURG.L Chip at the bottom of the Haze Lab.
You should get a weevil mask to protect yourself against the fatal gasses in the area and travel to the center of the Haze. Once you are at the lab, you have to go through the right doorway.
Now, players must take out the TAYZ.T robots protecting the lab and farm Raw Science after defeating them. From there, continue right to the cave area with some infected weevil enemies and deal with them.
After that, you must swim through the water until you reach a doorway and enter through it to find the Haze BURG.L Chip.
Making the Grinder
After getting the Haze BURG.L Chip, you have to take it back to BURG.L to unlock the Advanced Production Buildings upgrade. This should give you access to the Grinder in Grounded.
Now, all that is left to do is craft the actual Grinder. Here’s what you’ll need to gather to make the Grinder:
- 2 Crow Feather Pieces
- 3 Flower Petals
- 5 Bombardier Parts
- 2 Acorn Shells
Once you have all the required materials, you can make the Grinder and place it anywhere within your base.
