The Kosatka Submarine is one of the many additions the Cayo Perico Heist DLC brought. Besides the actual heist and submarine, there are also new vehicles, characters, radio stations, and weapons. 

For instance, there’s a new Bullpup rifle in the game that is based on the Steyr AUG A3 and KH-2002.

What Is a Kosatka Submarine?

The Kosatka is a huge, Propaganda Class nuclear-powered, guided-missile submarine manufactured by RUNE in GTA Online. It draws inspiration from the Russian Kelmar and Delfin-class submarines. 

You’ll also see some resemblance from the Chinese Type 094 submarines. 

Kosatka is a large cylindrical Teardrop submarine that is longer than the Galaxy Super Yacht. Its bow is spherical and has a player-selected flag marker in the center. 

Being a large submarine, the Kosatka doesn’t handle well and is rather difficult to operate or perform maneuvers. However, it has good turning capabilities and a high top speed that rivals the Dinghy. 

When it comes to defense, the Kosatka is one of the weakest command centers in the game, only able to withstand 12 rockets before getting destroyed. 

On the offensive side, it’s equipped with torpedoes, missile launchers, and a guided missile system.

How to Get a Kosatka Submarine? 

If you want to purchase a Kosatka Submarine, you’ll have first to visit Miguel Madrazo in the Music Locker nightclub. Upon entering the premises, head to the VIP section of the club, and the cutscene should start playing. 

Keep in mind that this cutscene is quite long, so be patient. 

Once the cutscene is done, Madrazo will then offer you a job to recover certain high-value files from a notorious drug lord, El Rubio. After talking to Miguel, you’ll have access to the Warstock Cache and Carry website and find the Kosatka Submarine up for purchase.

The stock variant of the Kosatka costs $2,200,000 and will go up to $9,085,000 if you apply modifications and optional functionalities.

Besides the access to the Cayo Perico Heist, here are other features that you can purchase with the Kosatka Submarine:
