Finding the Keys in Jinren Island
The first task that you should focus on is finding all the keys. This way, you can unlock all the cages in one go once you have all the keys at hand. It is more efficient to locate all the keys before finding the cages than finding a key and unlocking a cage.Â
1st Metal Key:
After embarking on a journey to Jinren Island, you’ll spawn on the south of the island where the first metal key is located. The first metal key on Jinren Island will be on top of some crates on the balcony where you spawned.Â
2nd Metal Key:
For the 2nd metal key, you’ll have to go to the west side of the island, where you’ll find a similar-looking balcony. You should see the metal key on top of the crates once again. You can refer to the image above to help you out.Â
3rd Metal Key:
On the location where you found the 2nd metal key, simply head west until you see a purple Inazuma flag near a dock. The 3rd key should be exactly below the purple Inazuma flag. You should also see a unique rock formation in front of the pier.Â
4th Metal Key:
For the 4th metal key’s location, you must travel north to the second smaller island with a waypoint teleporter. When coming from the south, you’ll notice some ladders. You should see the 4th key next to some old rope after climbing the second ladder.
Unlocking the Cages:
After you’ve gathered all the metal keys, it’s now time to unlock the cages and collect your special reward.Â
1st Cage Location:
For the first cage, you’ll have to sail back to the main Jinren Island and head south. You should see the first cage hanging on the rock formation. Inside the cage, you’ll find a Seelie that will lead you to a common chest.Â
2nd Cage Location:
Similar to the 1st cage, you should find the 2nd cage dangling from the north side of Jinren Island. The only way to approach the cage is by jumping off the top plateau and glide down to the cage. You’ll find an Enigmatic Page inside the cage, which you can collect.Â
3rd Cage Location:
For the 3rd cage, you can find it on the ground on the north portion of the main island. There will be an exquisite chest waiting for you inside the cage.Â
4th Cage Location:
For the last cage, you can find it in the southernmost part of the island. There will be a small dog inside the cage, which will guide you to the location of a buried precious chest as a reward for setting it free.Â
Freeing Saimon Jirou
On the main Jiren Island, you will also find a cage key by climbing up the largest tree on the top of the island plateau. You can then use this key to free Saimon Jirou, who is being held captive in a nearby cage.
Although you will not receive a reward for freeing him, he’ll give you a hint about a puzzle in the region that will require you to retrieve four tablets.Â
