Want to know how you can use heal in Elden Ring?
While you’re exploring The Lands Between, it’s crucial to keep your health at a good level. It’s also important to know how you can increase your maximum HP to stay alive longer during boss fights.
Given the difficulty level of boss fights in the game, you’ll need every drop of HP to be successful.
If you’re new to FromSoftware’s brutal gameplay, knowing how to heal is not as simple as other titles. Becoming the Elden Ring isn’t a simple task and your journey ahead will be as tough as nails.
Having good health standing in Elden Ring also ensures that you won’t lose your Runes, which are very important in the game.
At the start of Elden Ring, you’ll be forced to fight a boss called Grafted Scion.
Now, you are meant to die here since your character is not well-equipped for the fight. However, it’s possible to defeat this boss and you can earn some equipment by doing so.
Once the fight is over, you’ll end up in a cave. This is where you’ll get the Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to heal in Elden Ring.
How to Heal in Elden Ring
The Flask of Crimson Tears is used in Elden RIng to heal. You’ll start the game with three charges. The other flask that was given to you is used to replenish your FP, the blue bar on the top left corner of your HUD.
Your FP is used for magic and summoning spirits to help in battles. These flasks will refill whenever you rest at a Site of Grace.
To use the Flask Crimson Tears, you can press the Square (PS) or X (Xbox) button if the flask is equipped. You can press the Down button on your d-pad to switch between items to find the Crimson Tears.
At any Site of Grace, you can add charges to your Flasks to increase its charges. However, you’ll need to find Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears to increase the amount of HP and FP the flasks replenish.
Increasing Your Health
The fastest and easiest way to increase your max HP in Elden Ring is to level up your Vigor stat at any Site of Lost Grace. You will have the option to use Runes to level up after talking to Melina, who appears after you rest at the Gatefront Site of Lost Grace.
Besides increasing your HP, leveling your Vigor stat also affects your fire resistance and immunity.
For the Runes, you can get them by killing bosses and enemies. There are also some items that can be used to gain bonus Runes as well.
On the character creation page at the start of Elden Ring, you’ll be given the option to choose a Keepsake. If you want more health in your character, you should select the Crimson Amber Medallion.
This raises your maximum health. Keepsakes can also be purchased from the Merchant at the Castle Morne Rampart.
