Want to get Greyoll’s Roar Incantation in Elden Ring?
The Lands Between of Elden Ring is filled with powerful magic, and players can learn over a hundred different Incantations along their journey to become the Elden Lord. Not only can these magic spells deal massive damage, but some also give beneficial effects and buffs like damage negation and heal.Â
Besides, many of Elden Ring’s factions have a specific class of Incantations so that each build will have a handful of options.
Incantations are also Faith-based, separating them from sorceries that scale with your character’s Intelligence.
Players will also need a Sacred Seal to cast Incantations in the game.
One of the most popular Incantations in Elden Ring is Greyoll’s Roar. It costs 85 FP to use and requires 28 Faith and 17 Arcane.
Today, we will show you how to get Geryoll’s Roar in Elden Ring.
Let’s get started!
Where to Get Greyoll’s Roar
Greyoll’s Roar is an Incantation that can be purchased from the Dragon Communion Altar using a Dragon Heart. However, you must defeat the great dragon Greyoll first, before this ability is unlocked from the store.

Players can find Greyoll outside of Fort Faroth in eastern Caelid. Defeating this enemy will likely take you a while if you’re not leveled, or you are new to Soulsborne games.
However, this doesn’t mean that Greyoll can’t be defeated.Â
Greyoll Encounter Gameplay
For this encounter, you’ll need a weapon that causes hemorrhage damage. This is vital as hemorrhage deals damage depending on the target’s maximum HP. Inflicting this damage on Greyoll can drastically shorten the entire fight.

If you have no idea where to find a weapon with this effect, go to Stormhill Catacombs to the northwest of the Church of Elleh.
Go through the dungeon and fight some of the creatures inside. Continue killing hostile NPCs until you get the weapon they wield. While you are inside, take this opportunity to kill the Buriel Erdtree Watchdog.
Once you have the Forked Hatchet, go back to Greyoll’s location.
Other weapons that deal hemorrhage damage are the Reduvia, Vulgar Militia Saw, Uchigatana, Flail, and Hookclaws.Â
Inflicting Bleed Status
While this might sound brutal, the only way to defeat Greyoll is to make him bleed. Otherwise, you’ll spend hours hitting him, and you won’t even chip away much of his health.
This explains why we recommend you to have a weapon that can deal hemorrhage damage. Once you’ve applied the hemorrhage effect, Greyoll will take massive damage based on his maximum HP.
While you’ll still need to hit Greyoll multiple times before he bleeds, you’ll see large chunks of his HP disappearing once the effect is applied. To do this, you’ll need a safe place where you won’t alert the other dragons.

You will have to avoid this at all costs as it will cause unnecessary implications during the entire boss fight.
Go around the Elder Dragon and find a place between his left leg and wing. You should be able to attack him at this position without issues. Now, equip one of your weapons and start attacking him.
While you’re attacking Greyoll, he’ll try to lift his wing or scream to call for backup. However, if you’re between his left wing and leg, no help will come.
After defeating Greyoll, go back to the Dragon Communion Altar and purchase Greyoll’s Roar.
