How to Complete the Gone But Not Forgotten Quest in Destiny 2

Have you gotten started on the Gone But Not Forgotten quest for Season 15 yet?

Quests are some of the most fun activities that you can do in Destiny 2. They help you explore the world and get to know some very interesting non-playable characters (NPCs). Although Destiny 2 is played by many for its competitive aspect, learning and progressing through the storyline by doing quests is just a breath of fresh air.

Gone But Not Forgotten is one of the best quests for Season 15. As the Festival of the Lost was introduced in 2021, this legendary quest was also part of it. This is one of the easiest quests to do so you should try not to miss it. In addition to that, you will also earn some rare and perhaps eventually unobtainable rewards.

If you are looking to complete a legendary quest this season, check out our quick guide to completing the Gone But Not Forgotten quest in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2

First released in 2017, Destiny 2 is a first person shooter that combines elements of massive multiplayer online games (MMOs), role playing games (RPGs), and competitive shooters. It was developed by Bungie and released by Activision for all platforms. Originally a pay-to-play game under Activision, it became free-to-play once developer Bungie took back control of publishing in 2019.

In terms of gameplay, there are a few different ways you can enjoy Destiny 2. There are player versus environment (PvE), player versus player (PvP), and free roam game modes, so try to find out which one you enjoy best. In the PvE mode, there are strikes which are played with three players and raids with six players. In PvP mode, you can play four versus four or six versus six in Crucible game modes.

Gone But Not Forgotten Quest

First introduced in the Festival of the Lost 2021 event, this legendary quest is one of the best to do right now. You will interact with the vendor Eva Levante a bunch and will earn the coveted Festival Mask once you complete it. Although it is a legendary quest, there are just seven simple steps you need to take, so try to finish it as soon as you can.

Here is the quickest way to complete this quest while learning everything you can about the world of Destiny 2.

Meet Eva Levante

The first step you need to take is to meet Eva Levante. She is a special kind of NPC because she usually only appears during live events in Destiny 2. She was originally the outfitter for the Guardians of the Tower, but has since transitioned to becoming the go-to host of sorts for all Destiny 2 live events.

Eva will appear in different parts of the Tower depending on the seasonal event. Once you find her, speak to her and claim your Festival of the Lost Mask to get started on the quest. You will receive the Masquerader’s Helm, Masquerader’s Cowl, or Masquerader’s Hood depending on your character type. Titans will receive the Helm, Hunters will get the Cowl, and Warlocks will get the Hood from her.

You can also choose between getting Arc, Solar, or Void affinity for your Mask. The Mask comes with the Master Rahool Mask ornament as well.

Spectral Pages and Candy

Next, you must complete a relevant activity while wearing your newly acquired Festival of the Lost Mask. As you do these activities, you will earn Spectral Pages.

Also make sure to pick up some Candy that are dropped by defeated combatants.

Explore the Haunted Sectors with Glint to do these activities. Help him complete the Book of the Forgotten until you have enough Spectral Pages. You will need a total of 3 Spectral Pages and 100 Candy to move on to the next step.

Complete a Summoning Ritual

Once you acquire enough Candy and Spectral Pages, go over to the Haunted Sector. You can look it up on your Director. You just need to complete a single Summoning Ritual in the Haunted Sector before the next step of this quest.

Create Manifested Pages

The next step just needs you to stay in the Haunted Sector. Look for a Headless One and attack it. The energy released by the defeated Headless One should turn your Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages.

Do this two times as you will need two Manifested Pages for the Gone But Not Forgotten quest.

Back to Eva

Finally, go back to Eva and speak to her about your Manifested Pages. She will thank you for finding proof of the Headless Ones and ask you to add those pages to the Book of the Forgotten. After adding them to the Book, you have now pretty much completed the Gone But Not Forgotten quest in Destiny 2.

Talk to Eva again and claim your rewards for this quest. You will receive a Jurassic Green Pulse Rifle, a Hollow Sleep Emblem, 50 Candy, and 100 Glimmer for your troubles.

The Candy and Glimmer can be used in several ways in Destiny 2. The most important item in the rewards, however, is the Jurassic Green Pulse Rifle. This is a legendary rifle with Solar damage and Rapid-Fire capabilities.
