To be successful in the game, players must use the correct gears and weapons depending on the class and build they are going for. It is crucial that your armament scales with your main attributes to take advantage of their full potential. 

The Glintstone Kris is a dagger in Elden Ring that mainly scales with Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity. 

This dagger is magical and can’t be infused with any Ashes of War, enchanted with magic, or boosted with any of the game’s consumable items. The Glintstone Kris is also one of the rarer daggers in Elden Ring since it can’t be obtained once you make a wrong decision in the game. 

To be specific, you’ll have to side with Sorceress Sellen during her quest to obtain this dagger. 

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps on how you can get the Glintstone Kris in Elden Ring.

Obtaining the Glintstone Kris

For any character that is using a Dexterity or Intelligence-based build, locating the Glintstone Kris dagger should be a priority. This magical weapon can deal massive damage and be used as a ranged weapon as well. 

It can cast Glintstone Darts at enemies, which can be followed up with a strong attack that chains into a lunging thrust. 

For quicker magic builds, this is a weapon Elden Ring players need. 

However, you must complete an entire questline to obtain the Glintstone Kris in Elden Ring. Players will have to meet with Sorceress Sellen early on, and helping her will reward you with the dagger. 

Completing Sorceress Sellen Quest

Sorceress Sellen’s quest must be completed in a certain way to acquire the Glintstone Kris dagger. You’ll have to make a choice, and any option other than siding with Sellen will cause you to lose the dagger. 

To start this quest, head to Waypoint Ruins in Western Limgrave and defeat the Mad Pumpkin Head boss. Now, access the cellar door, and you’ll find Sorceress Sellen, who will introduce herself as the Graven Witch. 

Accept her offer to study under her to begin her questline. Progress through most of Limgrave, which includes beating the Raya Lucaria Academy and making it to Altus Plateau, where you can access quests from Sellen. 

Next, locate Azur on Mt. Gelmir. He’ll be located past the Hermit Village. Accept the Comet Azur spell from him and start heading back to Sellen. 

Once done, Sellen will provide the Sellian Sealbreaker key and ask for your help to locate one of her mentors. Should you accept, you’ll have to travel to the Sellia Hideaway dungeon. You can access this area by completing the Sellia, Town of Sorcery puzzle. 

From there, you will find a sorcerer guarding a tunnel. Defeat it and move in to find Master Lusat. 

Go back to Sellen for some lore-involved dialogue and prepare for a long journey. 

After exhausting Sellen’s dialog, you can immediately continue the quest if you’ve already beaten Starscourge Radahn. On the other hand, you’ll have to defeat him first.  Head to Redmane Castle in southern Caleid and take down this mighty boss first.

To continue, locate Jerren in the throne room and complete the conversation. Head back to Sellen, and she’ll ask you to go to Witchbane Ruins with her to find her real body. 

Jerren’s Revelation

After reaching Witchbane Ruins and finding her body, she’ll give you the Sellen’s Primal Glintstone. Talk to Jerren again, and he’ll reveal that Sellen is a murderer and doesn’t believe she is dead. 

Go to Rannie’s Rise afterward and make your way through the illusory walls into the basement. Give the Primal Glintstone to the body, and Sellen will awaken. 

Travel to meet her now at the Grand Library of the Raya Lucaria Academy. Keep in mind that you have to defeat Rennela first to unlock this location. 

Lastly, use the Gold Sign to help Sellen defeat Jerren. After that, she’ll grant some rewards, including the Glintstone Kris dagger.
