Are you looking for a way to get Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
If you grew up watching Disney shows, you’ll love playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. This game is developed by Ubisoft and is available for Windows, macOS, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.Â
In the game, Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Merlin, Ralph, Moana, and more are ready to guide you throughout your journey.Â
Besides completing NPC-given quests, players can also perform various activities such as crafting. This is one of the many doable things in Dreamlight Valley that helps you progress your gameplay further.
However, crafting items in the game requires specific materials that need to be collected or found.
Unfortunately, the required materials for crafting are not marked on the map and will need some exploration to find them. Clay is an example of a crafting material in Dreamlight Valley. This resource can be used to create tools and valuable items.
In this guide, we will show you how to get clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Let’s dive right in!
Finding Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In Dreamlight Valley, players will have to unlock specific biomes before they can find clay, as certain materials can only be found in selected areas.

To find clay, players need to spend Dreamlight to unlock either the Sunlit Plateau, Glade of Trust, or the Forgotten Lands. The cheapest point of entry to find clay is the Glade of Trust at 5,000 Dreamlight.
Besides clay, the Glade of Trust also contains other resources such as hardwood and iron ore. These items are needed to repair the wrecked raft as part of Goofy’s questline. However, if you need clay and other materials not found in the Glade of Trust, feel free to unlock Sunlit Plateau or Forgotten Lands.Â
Getting Clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To collect clay in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will need to use a shove to dig holes in either of the biomes we’ve mentioned above (Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands). These are the only places players can forage for clay so far.

However, there’s no guarantee that you will get clay when you dig up a hole in any of these biomes, but the resource isn’t hard to find.
After a few minutes of digging, you should be able to have stacks of clay to craft with if you are patient enough.
For players who are planning to farm clay or any other material, we recommend bringing some meals to keep your energy bar filled or unlocking the Wishing Well in the area you are farming, so you can fast travel between the biome and your home to replenish your energy.

While digging/mining, players should also ‘hang out’ with an NPC who has a digging bonus. These characters will occasionally find clay as well after you find one. This digging bonus isn’t locked to one character since players can choose what bonus each of the villagers gets.
