Do you want to get the Beast Claw Incantation in Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is the latest offering from the famous game developer FromSoftware. Similar to other Souls titles, Elden Ring packs a handful of mechanics and difficult bosses that you’ll encounter in The Lands Between.Â
In Elden Ring, you’ll be sent to the open world with only a few items. As you progress the game, you’ll obtain stronger weapons, crafting items, and even spells.
You’ll also meet a bunch of NPCs that give quests, lore, and items.
Spells and Incantations also play a major role in the game. Incantations are a type of Magic in Elden Ring that are often dependent on the Faith stat. It has a handful of effects that ranges from healing to claws that deal damage.
Incantations are cast using a Sacred Seal or any similar catalyst.
One of the many Incantations that you’ll find in Elden Ring is the Beast Claw. If you’re interested in getting it, you have come to the right place.
Today, we’ll show you how to get the Beast Claw in Elden Ring.
Let’s dive right in!
Beast Claw Location
You can obtain the Beast Claw in Elden Ring by delivering enough Deathroot to Gurranq, Beast Clergyman in the Bestial Sanctum.

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done.
If you want to get the Beast Claw you have to first locate Gurranq. You’ll find him in the northeastern portion of Caelid in the Bestial Sanctum. You can reach this location using your mount or through a shortcut.
As you explore The Lands Between, you’ll run into an NPC named ‘D’. If you haven’t, you’ll usually find him around Saintsbridge.

On your first encounter, you’ll have the option to fight him or just go on your way and let him be. If you avoid the encounter, D will reappear later in the game in the Roundtable Hold as an Incantations Merchant.
Give D some Deathrooth and he’ll introduce you to Gurranq, Beast Clergy. Once you’ve accepted the introduction, you’ll see a red mark on your map, which has a portal that will transport you directly to Gurranq.
This will be the exact same spot where you’ll find the Flask of Wonderous Physick!
Obtaining Deathroot

1st Deathroot
The first Deathroot that you can get in Elden Ring is in Summonwater Village on the northeast portion of Limgrave. Inside the village, you’ll see a Tibia Mariner, a field boss that drops Deathroot.Â
2nd Deathroot
Another Deathroot will be located inside the Deathtouched Catacombs. You can find this catacomb by heading toward the northern side of Limgrave. You need to explore the Deathtouched Cactacomb and open the heavy gate.Â
3rd Deathroot
You’ll also find a Deathroot to the east of Liurnia of the Lakes. Head towards the nearest site of grace in this area which is the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace. After reaching the site, you’ll spot another Tibia Mariner.Â
4th Deathroot
The fourth Deathroot in Elden Ring will be located inside the Black Knife Catacombs. Go inside the catacombs and make your way to the lever that controls the heavy door. Open the door and go through it to fight the Cemetery Shade that is accompanied by three skeletons.
5th Deathroot
The fifth Deathroot in Elden Ring can be found below the Wyndham Ruins in Atlas Plateau. There’s another Tibia Mariner in this location that drives a boat. This specific boss spawns a giant Spirit that you also need to face.Â
6th Deathroot
Another Deathroot can be found inside Gelmir Hero’s Grave west of Atlas Plateau. Head towards the boss gate at the end of the Grace to fight the Red Wolf of the Champion. Once you’ve defeated the boss, open the chest behind it inside the arena.Â
7th Deathroot
The seventh Deathroot for this quest will be located inside the Giants’ Mountaintop Catacombs. Head towards the lever inside that controls the path to the boss gate. Inside, you’ll face the Ulcerated Tree Spirit.Â
8th Deathroot
The second to the last Deathroot in Elden Ring is located west of Snow Valley Ruins Overlook Site of Grace. After reaching the marked location on your map, you’ll face the Tibia Mariner, which is a normal enemy.Â
9th Deathroot
The final Deathroot will be located inside the secret catacombs underneath the Hidden Path of Haligtree. Make your way towards the Stray Mimic Tear boss fight at the end of the catacombs.
Getting the Beast Claw
If you give the Deathroot you collect to Gurranq, he’ll turn hostile as soon as you give him the third Deathroot. After defeating him, Gurranq will allow you to continue giving the remaining Deathroots.
Once done, he’ll reward you with the following:
- Clawmark Sacred Seal
- Bestial Sling Incantation
- Bestial Vitality Incantation
- Beast’s Roar Ash of War
- Beast Claw Incantation
