How to Complete Gas Room Puzzle in Deathloop

Are you trying to figure out how you can complete the gas room puzzle in Deathloop?

Deathloop is one of the hottest video games right now. It is an action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks in Microsoft Windows and Playstation 5.

In this game, the player takes the role of Colt, an assassin trapped in a time loop that has been ordered to take out eight targets called Visionaries.

As you traverse the Blackreef to locate your targets, you’ll eventually come across a mysterious man sitting behind some sort of glass in Fristad Rock. You can interact with this NPC, but he’ll release a deadly gas and trap you in the room.

If you’re here, you’ve probably encountered him, and now you need to solve the puzzle to escape the gas-filled room.

Luckily, you have come to the right place!

Today, we will show you how to solve the gas room puzzle in Deathloop.

Let’s get started!

Solving the Gas Room Puzzle in Deathloop

Once the mysterious man behind the glass activates the gas trap, it will start draining your health quickly. To escape death, you’ll have to solve the puzzle in the Boathouse in Fristad Rock.

Given this hazardous situation, moving quickly and precisely is vital to escape the gas trap before running out of life.

1st Clue

The very first thing that you should do in the gas room puzzle is hacking the antenna. You’ll find this near the door up the stairs. Once you’ve successfully hacked the antenna in the gas room, you’ll see a book in a box, which has a clue.

When you open the book, it will contain this:

“Mister S,

A great man once told me even paradise needs pest control. Well, welcome to the unofficial AEON fumigations facility! Tested it myself. It works.

Sometimes a little too well.

Please, boss, please VENT THE GAS when you’re done. It’s easy.

First, you gotta reactivate the electricity panel.

Then, you pull the switch level.

Easy, Even a little elegant.

It’s a beautiful instrument if I say so myself. I want to thank you for the opportunity to set it up. Make a little piece of this place just right for you. You know you can call me if you need any help with the system. Or if you don’t.

Anyway.

I’ll let you have your fun.”

2nd Clue

For the second clue for the gas room puzzle, you can find it by looking through the glass in the locked door that leads to the control room. On the whiteboard, you’ll find two sets of three numbers.

These are generated randomly every game, so the combination to disable the gas trap is different for every player.

Make sure to write down the number combination you saw on the whiteboard.

Disabling the Gas Trap

After writing down the number combination, go underneath the stairs where you can destroy some boards. Once done, it will reveal a crawl space with a series of switches. Now, you’ll see a three-number combination underneath each switch.

To disable the gas trap, you’ll need to activate the two switches using the number combination you saw on the whiteboard.

Once the correct switches are flipped, head back to the stairs and hit the mechanical switch in the box to open the door leading outside the boathouse.
