Want to know how you can find Trowel Gulch in Grounded?
Grounded is a game with a bit of depth once you start to gain your footing. It is extremely overwhelming at the start since you are dropped into a massive backyard without much direction.
However, once you start to progress your gameplay and encounter BURG.L for the first time, you will start to receive some semi-guided tasks.
With that said, there are still mysteries to uncover and hidden areas to find in the game, with some coming from the daily BURG.L location quests that you can pick up from ASL Terminals throughout the open world.
Unfortunately, some of these areas are difficult to find, as you will usually only receive small context clues about their locations. You should know if you have found a location if you spot the outline of Trial Maker.
There are many of these locations across the game, but Trowel Gulch seems to be the trickiest location for some players to find.
Today, we will show you how to find Trowel Gulch in Grounded.
Let’s dive right in!
Finding Trowel Gulch
The only hint you have for finding this location in the game is in its name. The tooltip for the quest itself refers to the area as Spade Gulch, but the name for the quest calls it a Trowel.
To locate this area and complete the quest, you will have to make your way to a spot that features a Trowel, a compact hand shovel that is more commonly used for gardening. While there are a handful of shovels and digging tools in the yard, the exact one you should look for is in the Grassland, close to the Eastern Flooded Zone, to the north.
If you access your map, you should spot the Eastern Flooded Zone as the body of water in the Southeastern part of the map, north of the large Hedge.
Trowel Gulch is just north of the top-left tip of the Eastern Flooded ZOne and is in a large group of rocks. From there, you will see a large metal spade stuck into the dirt. There is also a large trench in the area, and you will find the quest marker at the bottom.
Keep in mind that there is also a wall of acorns nearby that will reveal a small cave when broken.
Completing this quest in Grounded will give you 100 Science, which can be a great source of Raw Science. This is a valuable resource in the game and knowing where to earn them becomes handy as you progress and recipes start to get more expensive.
