This resource is also used to craft a Fresh Storage unit, a refrigerator-like storage that makes sure your food does not spoil for an extended period. 

Fresh Storage is an essential item for survivors. It allows the storage of perishable items and eliminates the need for constant foraging.

Finding Pinecone Pieces

Players can gather Pinecone Pieces by breaking down pinecones that are scattered across the Backyard. You can usually find pinecones in Grounded on the northeast part of the map. This means you need to make your way to the Upper Yard. 

The only way to reach this area is to explore the northeast section of the pond and uncover the Upper Yard Ascent. 

Once players get there, they will also need to use one of the two bones on the destructible rock. 

Afterward, fans will need to explore the northeast portion of the Upper Yard, over by the Lawnmower and the Rotten Log. 

Near the Rotten Log, you should be able to locate several pinecones that you can break down. Sadly, the only way to break them is using a Level 3 Black Ox Hammer. This hammer can be obtained by finding the Black Ox Beetle and slaying it. 

Keep in mind that the Black Ox Beetle is one of the tougher bugs to defeat in the game, together with the bosses you can find scattered throughout the yard. 

Once players have enough Pinecone Pieces, they can head back to their base. We suggest making regular trips to the Lawnmower area to ensure you have enough Pinecone Pieces for any project you need.
