Where to Find Mangrove Sticks in Dinkum

Want to know where you can find Mangrove Sticks in Dinkum?

Dinkum has just arrived in early access on Steam, and you can settle down in the Australian outback-themed island and make it your home. Besides the single-player aspect, you can also play co-op with up to three friends.

Inviting your friends over can help you out with all the resource gathering you will need to get your village up and running.

The island of Dinkum is separated into four different biomes, all with unique materials that can be used to build something.

Mangrove sticks are one of the resources you need to build different useful items that can help you turn the island into a thriving village. While Mangrove Sticks are easy to find, it can be a bit of a problem if you are not sure what they look like.

If you are unsure what Mangrove Sticks look like, we’ve got you covered.

Today, we will show you where you can find Mangrove Sticks fast in Dinkum.

Let’s begin!

Finding Mangrove Sticks

In order to locate Mangrove Sticks, scrub turkeys, and bananas in Dinkum, players will need to head to the Tropic Biome. The dock will be in the starting biome, Bushlands. To the southwest will be the Pine Forest, to the west the dessert, and the northwest will hold the Tropics.

It should be safe for you to just walk there, but make sure to keep an eye out for dangerous critters like alligators.

Once you are in the Tropic Biome, look for a body of water. While water is mostly good for fishing in Dinkum, players will also find the right trees to make Mangrove Sticks near bodies of water.

These trees will have wide roots and will always be in, under, or near the rivers and lakes that make up the large portion of the island.

Once you’ve located the right kind of tree, you will need to use a standard axe to cut it down. You can purchase one from John’s shop for 1000 Dinks, given you have the necessary logging license.

If not, you can get it from Fletch.

At some point, you will also have the option to make your own axe out of basic axes and copper or iron.

Once the tree is chopped down, pick up the Mangrove Sticks using the right mouse button. Don’t forget to cut down the roots as well if they are reachable. This should yield even more sticks for your future projects.

Unlike Dinkum’s hard wood, palm wood, and gum wood, the Mangrove Sticks are ready to use and don’t need to be sawed.

Where to use Mangrove Sticks

Once you’ve obtained Mangrove Sticks, you can use them to make the following:

  • Simple Traps – these basic traps can help players catch wild animals to keep for themselves. You can craft it with one Tin Bar, eight Mangrove Sticks, and one Old Spring.
  • Torches – a basic wooden torch should help you light the way at night. You can make them using one Mangrove Stick
  • Wooden Signs – these are used to display items inside your home or around the town. You’ll need one Hard Wood Plank, one Gum Wood Plank, two Nails, and one Mangrove Stick to craft it.
