Where to Find The Caretaker
There are three Caretaker NPCs that spawn at the start of every round of Fortnite. However, they won’t normally spawn inside the POIs and are usually wandering in large open areas.
Despite their size, Caretaker NPCs can’t be easily spotted since they are almost entirely invisible. Unless they get alerted by players, Caretakers will remain hidden. Once this happens, they will suck players in before showing themselves.
To find Caretaker NPCs in Fortnite, you should check your map at the start of the round to see where the bosses are located.
Once you get close enough, you’ll hear the Caretaker background music. You should also notice a pink/purple light before The Caretaker completely reveals itself.
Killing The Caretaker
The Caretaker is very powerful and has a variety of attacks in its arsenal. Fortunately, they are quite easy to take down. Caretaker NPCs have 10,000 HP but also have a massive weak spot.
If you want to take them down quickly, you’ll have to aim for the glowing protrusion on their chest to inflict headshot damage. You should also remember that you can only deal damage to Caretaker NPCs if you’re inside a Sideways Bubble.
This means that you can’t build while engaging The Caretaker. Nonetheless, builds are useless against these giant beasts.
During the fight, you should also be careful of The Caretaker’s attacks. It can shoot beams from its chest and deal 8 DMG per tick. Getting too close will trigger it to perform a smash attack that sends you flying.
The Caretaker also uses Snap Attack, which stuns players and deals 20 DMG.
Finally, continuously moving while engaging The Caretaker should help you avoid its attacks, and using SCAR, Minigun, or Combat AR should be able to lower The Caretaker’s HP faster.
The Caretaker Encounter Loot
