Are you wondering how you can enter the Walking Mausoleum in Elden Ring?
Soulsborne games from FromSoftware are known for their interesting character design and lore, and Elden Ring is no different. The Lands Between is filled with mobs and beasts that come in all shapes and sizes.Â
One of the NPCs you’ll encounter in Elden Ring is the Walking Mausoleum. This is a creature that is made of stone and has four legs with a massive bell between them.
On top of the Walking Mausoleum is a structure that contains a black corpse.
Some players would think that jumping onto it from a higher area is the best way to enter the massive creature. However, that is not the case.
As it turns out, there is a much easier method to enter the structure on top of the Walking Mausoleum. Fortunately, the procedure is really simple and can be used as you travel The Lands Between.
In this guide, we will show you how to enter the Walking Mausoleum in Elden Ring.
Let’s get right into it!
Where to Find Walking Mausoleums
Before you can enter a Walking Mausoleum, you have to first find one. To locate this creature, you must utilize the bell that can be seen between its leg. This bell will produce a loud, coherent sound that you’ll need to follow.

Mausoleums are spread across The Lands Between, and as their names suggest, they can roam freely in the amp.
Here are some known locations where Mausoleums are present:
- Liurnia of the Lakes – two Walking Mausoleums can be found north of the Church of Vows. There is also one northeast of Raya Lucaria.Â
- Weeping Peninsula – a Walking Mausoleum can be found east of the Church of Pilgrimage.Â
- Consecrated Snowfield – there is a hostile Mausoleum that uses magic outside of the Apostate Derelict Church.Â
Entering Walking Mausoleums
Once you have managed to locate a Walking Mausoleum, you’ll have to target the gray skulls in its legs. Remember that walking towards this massive creature is not an option since it will perform a jump attack that deals heavy damage.

Due to this, it is recommended to summon Torrent for this feat. Ride between its legs and run as far as possible when it jumps.
Every leg of the Mausoleum has a random number of gray skulls, so you’ll have to switch targets once all the skulls are gone. After a while, the Walking Mausoleum should start wobbling, bend its knees, and fall to the ground.
When this happens, run in an open area to avoid getting crushed by the Walking Mausoleum.
Once the massive creature falls, you should use Torrent to perform a double jump and climb on top of the Mausoleum.
Now, walk around the building on top of the creature until a door appears. At this point, you can dismiss Torrent and access the door to find a headless black corpse holding its hands up. Examining the corpse will allow you to duplicate any boss Remembrance once.
