Like other FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring offers difficult yet rewarding gameplay for both first-time and veteran Souls players. Elden Ring is known to be cruel with its hard-to-beat bosses and difficult areas to reach.
One of the hardest places to reach in Elden Ring is the Dragon Temple. This area in Elden Ring is better known as Crumbling Farum Azula.
This ruin can first be visited up close but you won’t actually get to the location.
Instead, you’ll end up facing two level 65 enemies in exchange for a Talisman. Farum Azula will still be far and out of reach but if you just plan on taking a look then this should serve you well.

Things You’ll Need to Reach Dragon Temple
Like other locations in Elden Ring, you’ll need a few things before you can reach the Dragon Temple. Primarily, you’ll need an Imbued Sword Key to access the portal, which should help you get to Farum Azula.
Here are some locations where you can get one:
- On top of the hill is a chest in front of the fourth belfry in the current location.
- You can also find one on a corpse on the roof, east of Raya Lucaria Academy.
- Another Imbued Sword Key can also be found in Selia in a building on the northeast side.
Getting to Dragon Temple
Once you’ve obtained an Imbued Sword Key in Elden Ring, you are all set to reach Farum Azula or Dragon Temple.
First, you’ll have to reach the foot of the Four Belfries, southwest of Testu’s Rise and Kingsrealm Ruins. This should be West of Academy Crystal Cave and north of Cuckoo’s Evergaol.
From there, teleport to Farum Azula. This is where you’ll need the Imbued Sword Key, which unlocks the portal. Head east and you’ll find the portal under the third tower. Unlock the portal using the same Imbued Sword key.
Once done, interact with the portal to travel to the Crumbling Ruins of Farum Azule in Elden Ring.
You will now be at the Dragon Temple with not much ground to cover. You can now fight or run your way to the talisman or take a look at the breathtaking view from the temple.
