How to Get Death’s Poker in Elden Ring

Want to get Death’s Poker in Elden Ring?

The wide variety of weapons in Elden Ring means that it will take you hours or days before you can even find half of them. One of these weapons is Death’s Poker, which is hidden away in an odd corner of the map.

Wielded by the Deathbirds in The Lands Between, Death’s Poker is a Greatsword that deals piercing damage and can apply the Frostbite status effect to enemies.

It comes with a basic move set consisting of a quadruple light-attack combo and a charged uppercut. Death’s Poker scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and requires at least 10 STR, 17 DEX, and 11 INT to wield.

However, the main appeal of Death’s Poker is its weapon art, Ghostflame Ignition.

This weapon art has the user thrust out the barbed rod, which sets the tip alight with a ghostly flame. Following the ignition, the user executes a light attack that temporarily covers the ground ahead with a carpet of fire.

Alternatively, a charged attack with Ghostflame Ignition will have the wielder perform the same action as before. However, instead of setting the ground on fire, an explosion detonates, similar to the Explosive Ghostflame.

Today, we’ll show you how to get Death’s Poker in Elden Ring.

Let’s get started!

Death’s Poker Location

Death’s Poker in Elden Ring lies in a Deathbird’s lair near the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank. To get to this area, you must follow the Caelid Highway going southward from the Caelem Ruins. Once you’ve arrived at Caelid Highway South, start the trek along the main road to the east, where you’ll find the Deathbird’s Lair.

If you haven’t explored this section of Caelid, you can teleport to the north of Aeonia Swamp using the teleportation chest within Limgrave’s Dragon-burnt Ruins.

After leaving the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, ride south across the rot-ridden lagoon to reach the Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank.

The Death Rite Bird would be slightly off the road to the east, near an Arteria Leaf.

Similar to the Night Cavalry Field Bosses, Deat Rite Birds only spawn during the night. This means that you have to change the time of day to night before heading to the location mentioned above.

This boss fight is also fixed at great difficulty, so we strongly advise players to be adequately geared and leveled before attempting this encounter.
