Wondering how you can get David’s jacket in Cyberpunk 2077?
Cyberpunk 2077 recently received an update that featured quests and items that are based on the popular Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series. As part of the update, Cyberpunk players who are exploring the streets of Night City can now claim the iconic jacket of Edgerunners’ protagonist David Martinez.
With the Edgerunners series being released to critical acclaim, CD Projekt, Cyberpunk 2077’s devs, took the opportunity to introduce the 1.6 Edgerunners patch.
Containing a bunch of new features like cross-progression and transmog, the game’s 1.6 patch also adds new items that are owned by the characters in the anime, linking the game to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Playing as the mercenary V, players can collect Edgerunners-related items, including David’s jacket.
In this guide, we will show you how to get David’s jacket in Cyberpunk 2077.
Let’s get right into it!
David’s Jacket Overview
Fans can claim David’s jacket in Cyberpunk 2077 once they have entered Act 2, with V barely escaping a tangle with the Arasaka Corporation during a big job gone badly wrong. Before Act 2, Cyberpunk fans could only explore Night City’s Watson district due to a police lockdown.
Due to this, players cannot get in touch with the right NPCs to start locating David Martinez’s items.
However, once V gets back on their feet in Act 2, players can start looking for the new items introduced to the game in the Edgerunners update.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has also been so well-received that Cyberpunk 2077’s player count has reached new heights, with many fans sensing that now is the best time to play Cyberpunk 2077.
Getting David’s Jacket in Cyberpunk 2077
To get David’s jacket, players should head to Megabuilding H4 in Arroyo in Night City’s Santo Domingo District. The location should be marked with a Side Job icon. The quickest way to get to this area is to travel to the Megabuilding H4 fast travel terminal.
However, players who haven’t unlocked the terminal should proceed to the location we’ve mapped below.

Down a small alleyway to the right of Megabuilding H4’s entrance, players can spot a neon green symbol that marks a trashcan that contains a braindance. Curiously, Johnny Silverhand won’t have anything to say about V rummaging through the trash and playing a random braindance.
After that, a short clip of the anime will play, followed by a prompt informing you not to end up like David.
When V exits the braindance, players should open their phones and message Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes, Santo Doming’s local fixer, choosing the About David Martinez conversation option.

From there, Reyes will give you some context about who David is and say he will dig deeper to see if he can set up a meeting with David.
Players will have to wait a day to hear back. Using the game’s time skip option, jump 24 hours ahead. However, you can also complete other side jobs or gigs if you don’t want to use the time skip feature.
24-Hours After
After a day, an NPC named Falco will text you, asking why you are looking for David. Players should follow through with the conversation, and Falco will reveal that David’s whole crew has gone underground, discouraging players from looking further.
However, in return for V’s persistence, he will leave you something with Muamar. Players can find Muamar at the location shown below, where you can pick up David’s jacket.
