How to Change FOV in High On Life

Do you want to change your FOV in High On Life?

Have you encountered motion sickness while playing action shooters like Call of Duty, CS:GO, and similar titles? As it turns out, this is a common problem gamers encounter not only in FPS games but also in single-player titles.

To aid this, developers add FOV (Field of View) sliders in their games, so players can tweak the default FOV they have set.

Unfortunately, this is not present in High On Life

By default, there is no option to change the FOV in the game. It doesn’t come with a Field of View setting or slider on Xbox or PC and seems to be stuck on a FOV of 70. This is a bit low for some users.

As a result, they get motion sickness while playing High On Life, and the entire experience is not pleasant. However, this doesn’t mean that you just have to accept the game for what it is.

In this guide, we will show you some workarounds to change your FOV in High On Life.

Let’s jump right in!

What Is Field Of View in High On Life?

Customizing a game’s field of view is a great way of feeling engagement in the High On Life experience. Having the option to extend or reduce your vision can provide powerful benefits in-game allowing you to take in more of the map and spot enemies before they see you.

Tweaking your FOV should enhance your onscreen awareness and improve your overall experience.

Having a wider field of view allows you to enjoy a complete overview of High On Life’s amazing environment and fully utilize your capabilities and skills.

Changing Your Field Of View

Before anything else, we have to reiterate that Xbox players are out of luck for now since this workaround is only for PC.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. First, download the Universal Unreal Console Unlocker on your computer and install it.
  2. After that, open UUU and access the General tab. Choose High On Life in the options menu.
  3. Now, inject the DLL and wait for the message that the console is unlocked.
  4. Launch High On Life and press the ‘~’ key to access the console.
  5. To change the FOV, enter ‘fov(preferred value)’ and hit Enter. For instance, if you want a FOV of 90, you should enter ‘fov90’.

After changing your FOV, you can now play the game with a better view of the surroundings. However, the game’s field of view will revert back to default after a while or when you enter a loading screen.

To prevent this from happening, follow these steps:

  1. On your computer, download and install Cheat Engine. (Don’t run this app when playing online games)
  2. After that, launch High On Life and load your game. Go back to Cheat Engine and choose the ‘Oregon-WinGDK-Shipping.exe’.
  3. Now, select Memory Scan.
  4. Uncheck the Writable option afterward and check Executable. Switch the scan type to “Search for this Array” and the Value Type to Array of Byte.
  5. Look for “CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC F3 0F 11 89 3C 02 00 00 C3 CC CC CC CC CC CC CC” and double-click on the result.
  6. Finally, double-click on the Value section at the bottom and change “F3 0F 11 89 3C 02 00 00 C3” to “F3 0F 11 89 3C 02 00 00 C3”.

Once done, leave Cheat Engine running and change your field of view once more using the steps above.

Keep in mind that there are some issues with this process. Some players report that the Aim Down Sights are not working after a while and the game has visual glitches if you set your FOV past 90.

You will also need to perform the steps above every time you launch the game.

That is everything you need to know on how to change FOV in High On Life. For other concerns, please leave a comment below, and we’ll do our best to help.
