Want to know how you can build a Quarry in Dinkum?
Building a home and thriving community from scratch appears to be a very tedious process. However, this is what Dinkum offers to players. It is a survival farming simulator that places you on an island with limited resources, to begin with.Â
The game is heavily inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Stardew Valley but with an Australian outback setting.
There are a lot of activities to do in Dinkum. However, mining is one of the most time-consuming aspects of the game. Despite this, it is also one of the most important parts of the game, since some materials for your town are obtained through mining.
To make things simpler, players will need to set up quarries eventually so they can focus on other things. Quarries are structures that earn you passive ores.
Unfortunately, this structure needs some certifications and does not come until later in the game.
In this guide, we will show you how to build a Quarry in Dinkum.
Let’s get started!
Raising Certification Points
Dinkum players will start mining almost right from the beginning of the game. They can acquire a mining license, which will be available shortly after you arrive in the area. Completing various objectives will provide permit points.

Once you’ve obtained 250 mining permit points, you can trade them to unlock the Mining License Level 1.
This opens up the ability to buy pickaxes from John’s Store and use them for basic mining. More objectives will also become available as you progress through Dinkum. Completing enough to obtain 3500 mining points will allow you to unlock a Deep Mining License, which allows you to build the Quarry.Â
Building the Quarry
Players will need to use their Deep Mining License to deep mine. This will require you to secure Data Disks that can be sold to Franklyn. They should keep deep mining and selling the Disk to Franklyn until the Quarry becomes available.

After that, Franklyn will ask you to build the Quarry. This requires a large amount of Dinks and a slew of crafting ingredients found on the island.
Here’s what you need:
- 70,000 DInks
- 5 Old Gears
- 3 Old Springs
- 1 Old Contraption
- 1 Button Board
- 1 Old Toy
After gathering all of the crafting ingredients, it will take a day for the Quarry to be ready. Once ready, players can find any empty space in their village to place it.Â
Using the Quarry
Once the Quarry has been built, you can instantly begin reaping its benefits. The Quarry will generate barrels that contain old items for crafting and daily ore deposits. You can also set up multiple Quarries in their village for a lot of passive income and collections.
Nothing more is needed once the Quarries have been placed.
All you need to do is check it once in a while to collect the deposits. You can simply head to the Quarry and interact with it.
Players should note that this method is slower than manually exploring the mines.
