Getting to Consecrated Snowfield.
Unfortunately, the Black Knife Armor set is locked behind a hidden area in Elden Ring. This area is the Consecrated Snowfield, which can only be unlocked during the later stages of the game.
Players that are hoping to snag this armor early will have a very hard time reaching the snowfield since they’ll have to go through at least two difficult bosses. To unlock this area, players have to get their hands on the two halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.
The first half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion is located in the Village of Albinaurics.
The town itself is located west. Players need to progress up and into the town and activate the Site of Grace there. From the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace, players can head west and follow the massive rock wall all the way towards the Village of Albinaurics.
Players will know they are close when they see a massive hole in the mountainside. However, this will be a long journey from the original Site of Grace.
From there, players can head up a small path on the side and past a small well.
Inside a shack, you’ll see another Site of Grace. From that Site of Grace, head up to the hillside directly in front of them.
You’ll see a Perfumer enemy here at the top of the hill that can be absolutely devastating to new players. If players kill the Perfumer and go to the right past the two abandoned houses ahead, they will find a large pot near a wall.
Hitting this pot will uncover an NPC that rewards players with half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.
Entering Consecrated Snowfield
Once you have access to the two halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, players will need to make their way to the Grand Lift or Rold. You’ll have the option to choose which Medallion to hoist up once you stand on the circular platform before the statues.
Hitting the button to “Switch” will allow you to access the Secret Medallion and use it to transport the Grand Lift of Rold to a different location than before.
The path from the starting area is straightforward. Players will want to head inside and go up the large staircase to the left, proceeding through the door and then right up to another staircase towards another Site of Grace.
Heading outside from the Site of Grace will put players in the Consecrated Snowfields, a snow-filled area with torrential winds and low visibility.
Players should be careful navigating the area since there are many demi-humans, wolves, and other enemies lurking around.
Getting the Black Knife Armor
As soon as you reach the Consecrated Snowfields, you’ll want to head north. Since it will be difficult to see the surrounding area, players should focus on keeping their compass pointed north until they come out of the snowstorm.
While there are many cliffs in this area, players should be able to drop down most of them without dying.
Once players are far enough north, they should see an abandoned town with magical seals, similar to Sellia. At the start of the town, there is a Site of Grace hidden behind a small wall.
Once at the Liturgical Town’s Site of Grace, players should turn so that they are facing west.
From there, start walking until they are outside of the town and then make a right to follow the town’s outer edge, moving counterclockwise.
Eventually, players will spot a large staircase ascending into the sky near the northern part of the town. There should be a corpse underneath a small opening in the staircase that contains the Black Knife Armor set.
