Best Talismans in Elden Ring

Are you looking for the best Talismans in Elden Ring?

While Elden Ring is a lot more accessible for new Souls players, it still poses some challenges that will make you scratch your head. Fortunately, there are a handful of items and weapons that can help players turn the tide of battle or at least give them some fighting chance.

However, not all information about equipment and skills is given. This means that players will have to explore The Lands Between on their own to find valuable items.

For instance, FromSoftware doesn’t go into too much detail about weapon scaling, which is crucial in any Soulsborne title. One equipment that you should pay close attention to is Talismans.

Talismans grant you buffs that will give you some edge against powerful creatures and bosses.

However, there are so many Talismans available, which makes it difficult for players to find the best fit for their build.

To help out, we’ve listed down the best Talismans you can use in Elden Ring.

Let’s get started!

Cerulean Amber

best Talismans in Elden Ring

Location: Lakeside Crystal Cave, Castle Sol (Variant +1), Lunar Estate Ruins (Variant +2)

Most FromSoftware veterans would agree that any magic-based build can breeze through any boss fight since Incantations and Spells have high base damage output. With the Cerulean Amber Talisman, you can spam magic attacks almost non-stop since it raises your FP by 6.5%.

On top of that, you can also find two other Cerulean Amber variant that raises FP even more. To be exact, the +2 Variant increases players’ FP by 11%, which is almost double the standard version gives.

If you also have the Cerulean Seed Talisman, it will boost your FP Recovery.

Radagan Icon

Radagan Icon

Location: Raya Lucaria Academy

Most Talismans depicting Lord Radagon provide some of the best effects in Elden Ring, and the Radagon Icon is no exception. This Talisman shortens cast times of Incantations and Spells by 4 seconds.

This allows you to cast high-tier spells faster.

Unfortunately, the casting time for dragon-related Incantations is unaffected by the Radagon Icon buff. Players who haven’t traveled to Raya Lucaria Academy should be wary as they traverse the area since many optional bosses are around.

Magic Scorpion

Magic Scorpion

Location: Seluvis’ Rise

The Magic Scorpion is a double-edged Talisman that buffs magic-type attacks by 12% on the one hand, but on the other, it increases damage received. Nonetheless, the damage increase it provides offsets the risk of being more vulnerable.

However, new players should make sure to increase their Vigor stat if they plan to use the Magic Scorpion Talisman.

Obtaining the Magic Scorpion requires careful planning since players must talk to Preceptor Seluvis before completing Ranni’s questline. Once the player completes the questline, there is no way of obtaining it except if they start a new game.

Crimson Amber

best Talismans in Elden Ring

Locations: Weeping Peninsula, Volcano Manor +1, Leyndell +2

The Crimson Amber is another Talisman that has several variants. The standard version increases HP by 6% and the +2 version by 8%. This Talisman fits players with low Vigor since the +2 version grants 116 HP, which is quite useful for magic-based classes and builds.

However, the main problem with acquiring the +2 version of Crimson Amber is that players need to go through Leyndell Royal Capital, which is full of powerful enemies and grotesque bosses.

Erdtree’s Favor

best Talismans in Elden Ring

Location: Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, Forbidden Lands

HP, Stamina, and Endurance are some of the most important stats for any Elden Ring player to have regardless of whether they wield Uchigatans or use powerful Meteor Staffs. Moreover, the +2 version of Erdtree’s Favor increases HP by 4%, Stamina by 9.5%, and Endurance by 8%, which are significant boosts to other Talismans.

In order to reach the +2 variant, you’ll need to fight the three Ulcerated Tree Spirits, which can be a real challenge. However, you can run past them if you have enough stamina and loot the Talisman.

Radagon’s Soreseal

best Talismans in Elden Ring

Location: Fort Faroth

The Radagon’s Sorseal is one of the best Talismans to use in Elden Ring. It increases several stats by five and despite its -15% Damage Negation, it is still a great Talisman for both PVE and PVP.

The buffs provided by the Radagon’s Soreseal are also equal to 20 levels, which means players can save precious Runes for other things. However, players reaching the soft cap of certain stats should pay close attention as the Radagon’s Soreseal will only give diminishing returns.
