Best PC Settings for Deathloop

Deathloop offers its users six graphics presets that they can choose from to adjust the game’s graphics settings faster. If you want the game to run with higher FPS, we suggest putting the preset to low or medium.
On the other hand, setting the preset to very high or ultra will give you all the eye candy in the game.
However, if you really want to squeeze the best graphics and performance your system can provide, you can play around with Deathloop’s 15 individual settings.
Here are the individual settings that you should focus on, which impacts your system’s performance the most:Â
RESOLUTION

Depending on the display you have, choosing the best resolution to run Deathloop is vital if you want to maximize graphics and performance. If you are running a mid-range GPU like a GTX 1060 or RX570, setting your resolution to 1080P would give you the best result.
If your display can go beyond 1080P, you can set your resolution to 1440P given you have a GTX 1070 or higher graphics card.Â
UPSCALING/AMD FSR MODE
Although Deathloop doesn’t support DLSS, it uses AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution, which automatically adjusts your screen’s resolution to maintain a stable framerate. Low or Mid-range PCs will benefit the most from this feature.
For high-spec gaming systems, we suggest turning off this feature to prevent your game from rendering at a lower resolution when the frame rate drops.Â
AMBIENT OCCLUSION/SUN SHADOWS
Based on Deathloop’s description, Ambient Occlusion adds shadows to surfaces and where an object blocks light from reaching another game element. When you first launch the game, Ambient Occlusion is set to FidelityFX CACAO.
However, you can change this to NVIDIA HBAO+ or Raytraced if your system can handle it.
Meanwhile, Sun Shadows changes the way shadows are generated depending on how the sunlight hits an object or in-game element. If you are using a mid or low-end PC, we suggest putting this setting to ‘simple’.

For the other graphics settings, we recommend setting it to the following (GTX 1060 or lower):
- Texture Details: Very Low / Low
- Model Details: Very Low / Low
- Shadow Details: Low
- Water Details: Very Low
- Terrain Details: Low / Medium
- Decal Details: Very Low
- Post-Process Anti-Aliasing: OFF
- TXAA Sharpness: 20 to 30
- Sharpness Post Process: Standard
- Camera Motion Blur: OFF
- Bloom: NO
- Depth of Field: NO
- Lens Flare: NO
- Light Shafts: NO
Using these settings for mid and low-end gaming PCs should allow you to run Deathloop above 60 FPS.
If you are using an RTX 2060 or 3060, you can crank the settings to medium or high on 1080P or 1440P resolution to run the game above 100 FPS. For RTX 2070 or higher graphics card, it should be able to handle very high or ultra presets without issues.Â
